Join us for a very special evening of poetry with celebrated writer, actor and model Yrsa Daley-Ward hosted by award winning writer Yomi Ṣode. Yrsa's words have resonated with hundreds of thousands of readers around the world: through her acclaimed books of poetry and memoir. Yrsa draws heavy inspiration from her own experiences and larger issues affecting our behavior and quality of life and love. She is most known for her debut book, Bone, as well as for her live poetry performances. Her autobiographical novel, The Terrible, was published in 2018, by Penguin and won the Pen Ackerley Prize for memoir. Yrsa also co-wrote Black Is King, Beyonce's musical film and visual album. Supporting Yrsa, is British-Indian poet, playwright, writer and illustrator Nikita Gill. She has published five collections of poetry: Your Soul Is A River (Thought Catalog), Your Heart is the Sea (Thought Catalog), Wild Embers (Trapeze), Fierce Fairytales (Trapeze) and Great Goddesses (Ebury) After the performances, a Q&A will follow and DJ Mister S will continue the party. @Ellen's WAVEMAKER EVENT
