Festival of Consciousness Presentation @The Cover Barcelona

Capitalism has developed in recent centuries under the paradigm of profitability and competition as the driving force of the economy. There is no doubt that it was Adam Smith's famous "invisible hand" that lifted humanity out of the darkness of the Middle Ages, just as there is no doubt that the pursuit of personal interest no matter what has collateral effects on the planet that, indeed, do matter. In this talk, we will analyze how the collective awareness of these collateral effects is progressively transforming capitalism’s old coordinate system into a new one that puts purpose ahead of profit and collaboration ahead of competition. Wikipedia is perhaps the most paradigmatic example of this new model of collaborative economy, but not the only one. The Festival of Consciousness, which will take place in Barcelona on July 15-16, is a radically collaborative event that will bring together some of the brightest minds on the planet to demonstrate that a new entrepreneurial mindset is emerging and that its progression is unstoppable. @The Club
